BREAST CARCINOMA: STANDARD CLASSIFICATION

TMN Universal Classification for Breast Cancer
Primary Tumor
T0 No evidence of tumor
Tis Carcinoma in situ or Paget's Disease
T1 Tumor of 2cm or less (greatest dimension)
T2 Tumor between 2 cm and 5 cm in size
T3 Tumor more than 5 cm in size
T4 Tumor of any size with extension to chest wall or skin (peau d'orange, edema, ulceration, inflammatory carcinoma
Regional Lymph Nodes
N0 No regional lymph node metastasis
N1 Metastasis to movable ipsilateral axillary lymph nodes
N2 Metastasis to ipsilateral lymph nodes fixed to one another or to other structures
N3 Metastasis to ipsilateralmammry lymph nodes or ipsilateral supraclavicular lymph nodes
Distant Metastases
M0 No distant metastasis
M1 Distant Metastasis
